Imperial College London - Joint Maths and Computer Science student

I have been a Private Tutor for the last 9 years, tutoring students who have been finding their GCSE and A-Level curriculum difficult. Overall, I have taught more than 100 students over the last 9 years and helped them achieve their desired grades and university. If you have the passion and desire to do well in your studies, I will help you achieve it regardless of your current grades. I have an Honours Degree from Imperial College London for BEng Joint Maths and Computer Science. I have also achieved A*A*A*A in my A-Level for Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science as well as 8A*s, 3As and 1B in my GCSEs. Lesson Structure: My online lessons mainly happen through Microsoft OneNote. Every OneNote notebook I have for a student keeps track of the following three parts: - a curriculum checklist to make sure our lessons are kept on track, - lesson notes to keep track of everything we worked on together, and - mini-mock exams to help students get used to exam situations. I keep my lesson from 1 to 2 hours, where we use the first 30 mins to cover anything you need help with immediately. For the rest of the lesson, we work on topics that you have found challenging/difficult, making sure we are on top of everything covered in school. If we have managed to cover all of those topics, we move on to topics that will be covered in school. This will help give the student a head start and stay ahead of your class, which will help make school lessons easier. Furthermore, I like to keep students on track with their independent studying outside of our lessons by giving mini-mock exams approximately every 2 months (given we do lessons twice a week). These mini-mock exams help students get acclimatised to exam situations and provide motivation for students to do independent studying outside school and our private lessons. Each mini-mock contains exam-style questions with a couple of difficult/tricky questions to help students prepare for the worst-case scenario when it comes to the actual exam they will be sitting. If needed, I provide proper mock exams to help recreate an exam situation to help students gauge their shortcomings and help them improve themselves.

Need an Expert Chemistry Tutor?

Is your child struggling with chemistry? You're not alone and we're here to help. Whether your child is in Key Stage 3, preparing for GCSEs, tackling A-Levels, or working through university-level chemistry, the right tutor can make all the difference.

Why Chemistry Can Feel So Overwhelming

Chemistry isn’t just one subject; it’s a blend of science, maths, and memorisation, often presented all at once. Students are expected to switch between abstract theories, tricky equations, and experimental work with ease. It’s no surprise that many, even high performers in other subjects, find it hard to keep up. That’s why our chemistry tutors focus on making complex topics understandable and less intimidating from the start. Whether your child is studying:

The Real Reason Students Struggle

When students fall behind in chemistry, it’s rarely about ability. More often, it’s about being overwhelmed by how quickly the content builds up. One confusing topic, like chemical bonding or reaction rates, can make everything else feel impossible. Our tutors break down the material into manageable steps, filling in the gaps and rebuilding your child’s understanding, no matter their current level.

What Makes Our Chemistry Tutors Stand Out

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all teaching. Every student learns differently, and our tutors adapt their approach to match. Whether your child needs help with core principles at KS3, is preparing for GCSE or A-Level exam, or is tackling complex university content, our tutors offer clear explanations, real-world examples, and patient support. Many are qualified teachers or subject specialists who know the relevant exam boards inside out, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, IB, and more.

Chemistry tuition is about more than passing the next test. It’s about equipping students with problem-solving skills, scientific thinking, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
