Hi there, I’m Chinmoy! As a first-class honours graduate in Pharmacology from King’s College London and a recent Master’s graduate from University College London, my passion lies in developing ambitious students for a future in STEM. With extensive academic and laboratory experience in Chemistry and Biology, I specialise in tutoring IGCSE/GCSE and A-level Biology and Chemistry. Muneeb M.

yellow star 5.0

University College London (UCL) - Physics student

Hi! My name is Muneeb. My approach to teaching is centred around you, every student is different and as a result has different needs and teaching styles that they respond to. I aim to work with students to understand how best to achieve success. My maths and physics background gives me a logical mindset with which I approach teaching, I can systematically work through the gaps in a student’s knowledge and identify the underlying issue hindering them from achieving their full potential and then provide the necessary support to help them thrive. I’m a Masters student at the University of Sussex where I am studying Quantum Technology & management and currently averaging at a high 1st. This follows my undergraduate in physics from University College London (UCL) and my A levels in Maths, Chemistry & Physics in which I achieved A grades. I have informal experience working with children with autism, so I understand the extra level of care that’s required to engage neurodiverse children, particularly with regards to understanding the child’s needs as well as their comfort levels and routines. I can provide GCSE & A level tutoring in Maths, further Maths, Physics, Biology & Chemistry. These are subjects that I studied myself and achieved highly in. As a student who initially struggled with the transition from GCSE to A level I can appreciate the difficulty students may be facing and can provide advice & guidance to help optimise studying techniques and build confidence in order to achieve good A level grades. I can provide mentoring for university applications and personal statements, especially for students interested in STEM subjects, but not limited to that. I have mentored more than 10 students in both formal and informal settings. Last year one of my mentees received an offer from Oxford. I think it’s important to ensure a student’s application showcases their individuality whilst also fulfilling the essential requirements that admissions tutors are looking for.

Netra I.

yellow star 5.0

University of Manchester - Medicine (MBCHB) student

Hello Everyone, I’m Netra and I am currently a 4th year medical student undergoing a bachelor’s in medicine and surgery at the University of Manchester. I have also completed an intercalated master’s degree in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine (Msc), for which I have won the Wolfson Award, awarded by the Royal College of Physicians. Previously, I undertook A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology in which I received A* A* A. I have had 5 years of teaching students, both informally as a mentor during sixth form and formally as a private tutor. I tutor in Biology, Chemistry and Maths for all ages up until GCSE. My lessons are normally 1 hour and are tailored to encourage an interest in science and enhance fun in learning. I have enjoyed studying sciences over the years, but I understand how frustrating and confusing it can be. As such, my aim is to tutor students in maths and sciences in an easy-to-understand and concise approach, whilst encouraging curiosity and enthusiasm for science! For many students, particularly those undergoing GCSEs, exam technique and active learning is the best approach to formal exams. I offer resources such as exam-board practice questions and help improve a student’s active recall capabilities through a Q&A style format for lessons. Outside of academics, I am a committee member for the Creative Medic’s Society at the University of Manchester, and I love to crochet, paint, write and read (my favourite book is Wuthering Heights!) If you have any questions about me and my lessons or would like a 15-minute free trial session, please do not hesitate to contact me!
